Varde Pellsullgarn
Norwegian fur sheep are a separate Norwegian breed of sheep, different from the Norwegian white sheep. The grey curly wool contains both light and dark fibres. The dark fibres give the yarn an exciting depth and melange when dyed.
The wool is fine and soft. This makes yarn made from pelsullgarn softer and more shiny than wool from Norwegian white sheep.
The yarn has good felting properties, it becomes fluffy and garments develop a nice halo. Perfect for colour work, for sweaters, hats, mittens, etc.
Colour 0115 is the fur sheep's natural colour and all other colours are dyed on this. If pattern calls for white or cream, use Luna in combination with Varde.
